Terms of Service

Last updated: 5 September 2026. This is a working draft prepared to match how the product actually works today — it has not been reviewed by a lawyer. Have it reviewed by counsel before launch, and replace every bracketed placeholder below with your actual details.

Acceptance of these terms

By creating an account or using My Ageing Parents (the "Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service. The Service is operated by [Company Legal Name], registered in India at [Registered Address, India].

About the Service

My Ageing Parents is a set of planning, organisation and information tools for adult children supporting ageing parents in India, wherever in the world those adult children live. It does not provide medical advice, diagnosis or treatment, and does not provide personalised financial, investment or legal advice. Nothing on the Service is a substitute for professional medical, financial or legal advice, or for emergency services. In an emergency, contact your local emergency services immediately.

Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account and use the Service. By using the Service you confirm you meet this requirement.

Your account

You're responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for all activity under your account. Tell us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access.

Our products and pricing

The Free Ageing Report is free, requires no payment details and no account to start. The 90-Day Ageing Gracefully Action Plan is a one-time purchase (currently ₹999). The Parent Care Calendar (currently ₹499/year) and The My Ageing Parents Weekly (currently ₹2,499/year) are annual subscriptions that do not currently auto-renew — you'll need to renew manually when the term ends. We may also offer a discounted bundle of some or all products from time to time. Prices are shown in Indian Rupees (INR); if you pay with a card issued outside India, your bank will convert the charge to your local currency and may apply its own fees, which we don't control.

Payments

Payments are processed by Razorpay, a third-party payment processor. We never see or store your full card, UPI or bank details — Razorpay handles that in accordance with its own terms and applicable card network rules. A purchase is confirmed once Razorpay confirms payment to us.

Refunds and cancellations

The Free Ageing Report has no charge and nothing to refund. For the 90-Day Ageing Gracefully Action Plan, you can request a full refund within 7 days of purchase provided you have not yet opened the generated plan; once opened, it is treated as delivered and is non-refundable except where the law in your country requires otherwise. For the Parent Care Calendar and The Weekly, you can request a full refund within 7 days of the subscription starting provided you have not used the associated feature (for example synced a calendar reminder, or received an issue of The Weekly); after that window the subscription is non-refundable for the remainder of its term, though you're always free to simply let it lapse rather than renew. If we suspend or end your access for a reason other than your breach of these Terms, we'll refund the unused, pro-rated part of any annual subscription. Approved refunds are returned to your original payment method via Razorpay, typically within 7–10 business days. If you're a consumer in the EU/EEA or another jurisdiction that grants a mandatory right of withdrawal for digital content, that right applies in addition to the policy above.

The Weekly

Each issue of The Weekly is researched from cited third-party sources and reviewed by a person before it is sent. We aim for accuracy but don't guarantee it — always check the linked source before acting on anything, and use your own judgement, particularly for anything medical, financial or legal. Products, services, prices and availability mentioned in The Weekly can change after publication and are not endorsements.

Acceptable use

Don't attempt to bypass payment or access controls, interfere with or disrupt the Service, scrape or systematically extract data from it, misuse it to harm others, or use it for anything unlawful. We may suspend or terminate accounts that do.

Intellectual property

The Service, its design, text, and underlying software belong to us or our licensors. Your own assessment answers and the notes you add to your Parent Care Calendar remain yours; you're granting us only the licence needed to store and process them in order to provide the Service to you.

Third-party services

Certain features rely on third-party services — Google (for sign-in and, if you choose to connect it, Calendar sync) and Razorpay (for payments). Your use of those features is also subject to that provider's own terms, and we're not responsible for their acts, omissions or availability.

Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, to the extent permitted by law. We don't guarantee the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any plan or recommendation will be suitable for your specific circumstances — every family's situation is different, and you remain responsible for decisions about your parents' care.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability to you arising out of or relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose. We're not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, including, where relevant, liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or liability that cannot be excluded under Indian consumer protection law or the law of your country of residence.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify us against claims arising from your breach of these Terms or your misuse of the Service, to the extent permitted by applicable law.

Termination

You can delete your account at any time from the Account page. We may suspend or terminate access if you materially breach these Terms. On termination, your right to use the Service ends, though the refund terms above still apply to any unused, pro-rated subscription.

Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts at [City, India] have exclusive jurisdiction, save that if you're a consumer resident elsewhere, mandatory consumer-protection laws of your country of residence may also apply and this clause doesn't take those rights away from you.

International users

The Service is designed for adult children of ageing parents in India, wherever those adult children are based. If you're located outside India, you're responsible for complying with your own local laws in connection with your use of the Service.

Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms as the Service changes. If a change is material, we'll let you know by email or with a notice on the Service before it takes effect. Continuing to use the Service after that means you accept the updated Terms.
